Mildred Lillian Palmer
1921-2019
Mildred Lillian Palmer, 98 years, of Riverview
passed away at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, on Wednesday,
November 6, 2019.
Born in Loggieville, NB she was the daughter of
the late Alan and Ida (Dickson) Loggie. She was an active member of
the UCW of St. Johns United Church for many years. She also taught
Sunday school. She loved to knit having sewed many quilts. A homemaker
who every fall made jams, jellies and pickled beets. Her chow chow was
second to none and the mustard pickles would be all gone before
Easter. Neither rain nor snow kept her from attending church on
Sundays, the later years with her walker, named Charlie. She enjoyed
playing board games with her grandchildren, scrabble was her favorite.
Special thank you to the staff of Lakeview Manor for the excellent
compassionate care.
Survived by daughter Ruth and her husband Brian
McNutt, sister Jean Wasson, grandchildren Kris (Megan), Samantha,
Alison and Erik (Meagan), great grandchildren Alyssa, Boyce, Shayla,
Devin, Ember, Hadley, Isla, Claire and Emma, nephew Gordon Wasson
(Lise).
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her
husband Ernest Palmer, brother Ambrose Loggie, and niece Shelley
Wasson.
A memorial service will be held in Alberta at a
later date.
Donations in Mildred’s memory made to the
Salvation Army Lakeview Manor would be appreciated by the
family.
