Heaven got a little brighter as the gates opened while a golden flame was extinguished on Nov 4, 2019. It is with overwhelming sadness and also tremendous gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother Marjorie (Critch) McNeil, of Gaskiers then Trepassey, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Francis McNeil (April 24, 2019), parents Hannah and Stephen, infant sister Annette, brothers Brian, Kenneth and sister Monica, parents-in-laws Joe and Anne McNeil, brother in law Loyola McNeil. Mom devoted her life to her family. Leaving to mourn her loving children: Bonnie (Colin), Arlene (Milton), Kim (Mark), Cindy and Francis (Valerie): grandchildren: CeJay (Jessica), Spencer (Melissa), Tanner, Shelby (Justin), Jay, Christopher, Allison and Brooklyn: brothers: Eugene (Patsy), Ralph (Madonna), Stephen (Theresa), Lawrence (Diane); sisters: Anita (Harold), Joan (Richard), Betty (Eugene), Susan (Paul), and Colleen, brothers and sisters of the O’Connell family, aunt (Dot), cousins, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. A special thank you is extended to the staff at St Clare’s 5 East, Dialysis Unit St Clare’s, and staff at Chancellor Park who provided Mom with such excellent care during her final days. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 6-9 pm. and Wednesday from 10-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Nov 7th, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Peters Church, Mt Pearl. Flowers greatly accepted or donations can be made to the Diabetes Association.
