Louis Allain
1934-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Louis Allain
announce his unexpected passing on Monday November 18th, 2019 in
Fredericton. Louis was born on April 7, 1934 to the late
Leonel and Marie (Maillet) Allain in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent,
NB.
Louis leaves behind the love of his life and best friend,
Antionette (Goguen) Allain. He is also survived by his children, Lise
Allain (Allan Carson) and their children Nathaniel and Cameron Carson,
Jean-Marc Allain (Heather Giacomantonio), and his children Alexandre
and Zachary Allain; his brothers and sisters Paul Allain (Therese),
George Allain (Florine), Gerard Allain (Georgia), Marguerite Melanson
(Sean); brother-in-law Albert Belliveau; as well as many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Louis was predeceased by his parents Lionel and Marie Allain;
his brother Jean Allain; sisters Marguerite Allain, Angela Cormier and
Dorilla Belliveau. He will be missed by the TGIF Gang, his
extended family, dear friends and neighbors at the golf Greens
condo.
Louis was born and raised on a farm in
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. He attended technical college in
Moncton where he became a certified electrician and plumber.
He owned Bouctouche Plumbing and Heating for many years before moving
to Fredericton and joining the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation in
1976. He retired 2002 as Chief Inspector. He loved his work
and spoke often and very fondly of his CMHC
family.
Louis was an incredibly kind person, enjoyed talking with
everyone and made friends wherever he went. He loved to
travel and to spend time with his family. Louis and
Antionette celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this summer
surrounded by family.
Louis is resting at McAdams Funeral Home, 160 York Street,
Fredericton. Visitation will take place on Friday November
22, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Eglise
Ste-Anne-des-Pays-Bas, 655 Priestman St., Fredericton, NB on Saturday,
November 23, 2019 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis’s name to
the Arthritis Society or a charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the family.
