Lois Eyres, entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the age of 82. Lois was raised in the Spencerville, Ontario area. Lois spent many years living throughout the country, until she settled down in Lindsay, Ontario to be close to her family. Lois enjoyed travelling with friends and family and was a dedicated 50 plus year member of the Women of the Moose Lodge. Lois was the cherished mother of Brian (the late Alanna Barjarow), and Lisa (Chris Morasse). Dearest step-mother of Ken Eyres (James Keating). Beloved wife of the late Donald Eyres and ex-wife of Austin Barjarow. Lois will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Mandy Jones, Gabrielle (Jesse Simpson), Natasha Walton and Tess Morasse, and great-grandchildren Megan Jones, Evan Jones, and Austin Simpson. She is survived by siblings Bryce (Phyllis Acres), Ralph Acres, Marlene (John Hunter), and predeceased by her sisters Doris Cook and Joyce Robertson. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday, November 14th from 6:00 – 9:00p.m. and on Friday, November 15th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 11:00a.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Cambridge Street United Church, Alzheimer Society of Kawartha Lakes, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
