We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Jennie Elizabeth Porter-Tripp at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Sunday morning, November 3, 2019. She was 96. (years young). Jennie was predeceased by husbands Norman Porter and Everette Tripp, her parents Thomas and Daisy (Franklin) Boyce, as well as her 2 grandsons; Paul Davis and Brandon Tripp. She was the most proud and loving mother of Ada Kay (Doug), Jean Davis (Brian), George Porter (Lisa), Ron Porter (Ann Marie) and Jim Tripp (Bonnie). Jennie leaves behind a legacy of 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Alice McKay (late Tom). Jennie was also predeceased by her siblings; Alfred Boyce (late May), George Boyce (late Isobel), Ada Dolan (late Cecil) and Thomas Boyce (late Lillian). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as her many friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Arnprior Branch # 174 and the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Arnprior. Jennie gave of herself and her home to many foster children and will be remembered for her involvement in many children’s programs, always an advocate for youth. Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Friends are invited to join Jennie’s family during visitation Thursday November 7, 2019 at the Glad Tiding’s Pentecostal Church, 116 Baskin Drive W., Arnprior at 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Jennie’s Life will commence at 7:00 p.m. Private family interment Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa. In memory of Jennie, a charitable donation may be made to the Grove Redevelopment Fund.
