Obituary
NEILSEN, Ivy Rose, born 19 July, 1934 and passed away on 15 November, 2019, at the age of 85, after a fierce yearlong battle with esophageal cancer. Ivy passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her Lord and loving family. She is survived by her 2nd husband, Svend, adoring daughters, Cheryl (Rick), Cindy (Roger), Carolyn (Ian), and stepdaughters, Lona and Suzanne (Tom). Ivy is predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Bertram Phillips (1986). Ivy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Laurel (Andrew), Heather (Nathaniel), Conner, William, Michael and Madeleine and also by her doting siblings Alene (Courtney), Dan and Carole. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Allan John Roberts Jr, sisters-in-law, Irene Roberts and Lois Roberts, and brother-in-law, Ed Butler.
Quite simply, Ivy, was an amazing woman! She touched so many lives in her 85 years. We are eternally grateful that God saw it fit to grace us with her love and devotion. Arrangements will be made by Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel. We invite you to join us in a Celebration of Life to be held on 23 November at 1:00 pm at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 12145 Laity St, Maple Ridge, B.C., with Pastor Roland officiating. A special thank you to the staff at Maple Ridge Home Health & Palliative Care Team, for they are truly angels on earth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite organizations.
