Loving Memory

Ingmar Anderson
Who passed peacefully in the early morning of
Saturday, November 16th, 2019
with his loving wife of 63 years at his side.
Ingmar was one of a kind. A dry wit, a kind heart, the patience of an angel and never an angry word – (except maybe on the golf course) – Ingmar was someone everyone loved being around. An athlete from a young age, Ingmar enjoyed both playing and watching sports – especially football. An outdoorsman, Ingmar loved to fish and spent countless hours at the family (Hendrew Anderson and Enni (Rantanen)- pre-deceased) cottage on Penage trolling for trout. He loved spending the summers at camp on Long Lake and was often to be found reading on the deck by the lake or riding his John Deere lawn mower.
His world was his family and he doted on the women in his life. He is survived by his wife Lena (nee Palandra), daughter Theresa (Bill Anderson-Butcher) and granddaughters Jennifer (fiancé Louis Tremblay) and Kaitlynn (friend Henri Marceau).
His sister Doris (Niels Larsen), simply adored her older brother and will miss him dearly as will his brother-in-law Niels with whom Ingmar spent most of those hours trolling on Lake Penage. He is survived by sister-in-law Theresa Oliver (Arthur predeceased) and brother-in-law Nick Palandra (Sandra).
Ingmar was loved by his many nieces, nephews: Peter (Jodi) Larsen, Karen (friend Will Ameden) Armstrong, Mike Palandra, Barbara Cleaver (Ron), and the twins Sophie and Ben Larsen who were more like great-grandchildren than grand niece and nephew and his youngest nephew Neil Alexander.
Ingmar’s extended family included Mary and Ray McNeil and their children and grandchildren with whom he celebrated 48 memorable Christmas Eves.

Thursday, November 21st, 2019 at 11:30 am.
Friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday after 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Kidney Foundation.
