Thomas, Grace Elizabeth

1924-2019
Peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Thomas (2009). Loving mother of Brenda Thomas and Nancy Thomas-Brennan (Michael). Proud grandmother of Liam Brennan. Ken, Grace and their two daughters traveled around the world for many years while Ken worked for External Affairs. Grace worked numerous times for the embassies in the countries where they lived. After they settled back in Ottawa for their retirement, Grace became a member of the Ottawa Welsh Society and choir, and then the Canadian Showtime Chorus. After Ken was taken from her by ALS, she moved into the Stillwater Creek Retirement Community where she enjoyed the last nine years of her life. She was admired and cherished by both the residents and staff and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa on Friday, November 29th, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Christ Church Bells Corners, 3861 Old Richmond Rd, Nepean on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
