Obituary for
Flora Weiss
Flora Catherine Weiss, born in Sangudo, Alberta, June 29, 1916, passed away suddenly on November 24, 2019 at the age of 103 years at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton.
Flora is survived by her three sons, Frank, Bob (Linda) and Jim (Donna); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Shelly, Janet, Laurie, Jason, Kevin, Karyn; and ten great grandchildren, Joshua, Kaylee, Preston, Logan, Olivia, Emily, Kingston, Evangeline, Khloe and Kennedy. Flora is also survived by her brother-in-law, Eddie Kastelic; and several nieces and nephews. Flora was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank; sister, Margaret; and twin brothers John and Allen.
The Weiss family would like to thank Dr. Toreson, his surgical team and the staff on the orthopedic unit 6E at the Misericordia Community Hospital for their care and kindness during this difficult time.
Visitation Thursday, December 5 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 5101 Grigg Avenue, Mayerthorpe.
Funeral Mass Friday, December 6 at 12:15 p.m. at St Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, 4919 – 51 Avenue, Sangudo. Reverend Father Jaya Rajan officiating with Reverend Andrew Rybak assisting. Interment in South Park Cemetery, Sangudo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to South Park Cemetery, Sangudo or to a charity of your choice.
