Memorial Donation
On November 18, 2019, Donald Scott Collins, aged 68, passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short stay in ICU surrounded by his family. Born July 21, 1951 in Botwood, NL he moved to the big city of St. John’s in the summer of ‘69, leaving a part of his heart in Carmanville, where he spent his younger years.
Leaving to mourn each of his favourite daughters Amy, Melissa Morgan (Wayne Tippett), Megan Nesbitt (Joel); his beautiful grandchildren Julia, Brady (Pop’s trout) and Rachel; his cat George; the best ex-wife he could have asked for and mother of his girls Lena Clarke; Scott Morgan; brothers and sisters Glenn, Guy (Fanny), Maxine Pennell, Bonnie Newell (Greg) and Jackie; nephews, nieces; great nephews, great nieces; and a wide circle of special friends. Predeceased by his parents Leta and Stanley, brother in law Hardy Pennell and special friend Catherine Mooney.
Scott had a great love for all things food, cars, knickknacks and good music. He is now resting in peace with his special grandpup Pepper. Cremation has occurred and there will be a visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday, November 21. Scott will be laid to eternal rest at home in Carmanville. A special thank you to the team of nurses and doctors taking such good care of him in ICU in his final days, especially Danielle, Karen, Diane and Dr. Genge.
