1934 – 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family wishes to announce the passing of Dona Mae Hayward, formerly of Brownsville, on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, with her family by her side. Devoted wife of 67 years to her husband Robert “Bob”. Loving mother to Robin (Paul) Hearse, Robert (Catherine) Hayward. Proud grandma of Meaghan Hearse (Jason); Michael Hearse (Jaime); Kayleigh, Rochelle, and Shelby Hayward. Great grandma to Tayler, Brooklyn, Hunter, Max, and Violet. Fondly remembered by her brother Walter “Red” (Sandy) Nowell, and half sisters Phyllis and Patricia Nowell. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Philip Nowell and Edith Cameron. Thank-you to the staff of Upper North at Terrace Lodge Nursing Home, Aylmer, for their compassionate care. Thank-you to the staff of St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital – 4th floor chronic care, Dr. Khaper, and Dr. McIntyre for their gracious care. Friends and relatives will be received by Dona Mae’s family at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family service will be held Thursday, November 28, 2019. Interment will be at the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated by Dona Mae’s family.
