David “Luke” William Rushton passed at his home in

side.
Born in Harvey Station, NB, son of the late Angus and Mildred
Ruston.
Luke is survived by his loving wife, Janet Rushton and his
fur baby, Dane, his daughter, Connie Jeffries (Paul) of Saint John,
two grandsons, Dylan and Drew, sister, Maxine Watson of McAdam, nieces
and nephews; Shawn (Vanessa), Steven, Robbie (Suzanne), Cathy (Kevin),
Bill (Vanessa), Jaimie (Courtney), Bernice Bigger and Daniel Blanchard
(Siera), great-nieces and nephews, Kala (Garrett), Branden, Aden,
Michael, Ashton, Bradlee, Morgan, Soraya, Noah, Elias, Declan, Jayden,

Jean Nadeau (Stephen).
Luke was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara, mother-in-law,
Effie, his best friend, Ronald and fur babies, Penny and
Missy.
Luke was a man with a great and true love for all things
outdoors. He loved working in his yard, tending his garden which was
small but he was so proud of. He could often be found outside in the
yard, leaned over the fence, talking with his neighbour and friend
Billy.
Luke truly found joy out in the woods hunting game and
fishing. His other love was small engine repair, lawn
mowers, tractors and whipper snippers all found a new lease on life
with Luke’s gifted hands.
He was a true and loyal worker. Luke dedicated 19
years of his life to the Charmac Company. He made many
lifelong friends while on the job and took great pride in his work and
his workplace.
Luke’s great passion was his model
trains. He spent many painstaking hours amassing an
impressive collection of antique trains. He rescued many
pieces that might have been lost. Luke was always fixing or
rescuing something. When he was not out living life hunting
and fishing, fixing and collecting, his greatest love of all was saved
for his wife, Janet Ruston and his fur baby, Dane, the
dog.
Luke was a man who loved deep and loved true. He
was a man whose hands left lasting marks on everyone and everything he
touched. Luke left his world but the things he made and collected and
tended to will forever live on.
As per the family wishes, there will be no
visitation or service at this time.
Donations to a living memorial or a charity of
one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
