Obituary of Barbara Joan Howden
On Friday, November 8th, 2019, Barbara Joan Howden (Drysdale) quietly and serenely left our world too soon at the young age of 73. Born in Montreal, Barbara lived a full life, working at General Motors in St Therese, before moving to Ontario to raise a family. She worked at Warwick Central School, East Lambton Secondary School (Mama Howden) and finally North Lambton Secondary School. Left to carry on her memory are her husband, John, four children Sarah (Mike Charron), Michael (Martin Lavallée), David (Siboney Molina) and William James, as well as three (soon to be four) grandchildren, Emma, Alex and Henry.
An avid traveller and RVer, she traveled the world, experiencing other cultures, but always loved returning home to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generosity, her abounding energy and her legendary chocolate chip cookies. She is loved and missed by all whose lives she touched. To remember her, a celebration of life will be held in July 2020.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be left at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY, (519) 245-1023.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Barbara
