Westhaver – Douglas Henry, age 65, of Milton, Queens County, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, October 24th, 2019.
Born in Liverpool, Queens County, he was a son of Julia (Lingley) Westhaver, of Milton and the late Burton Westhaver.
Dougie was employed for many years with the Canadian Coast Guard, stationed in Dartmouth, working in the engine room as an oiler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Ann “Judy” (Nowe); daughters, Jennifer Westhaver (Craig Whynot), of Brooklyn, Wanda Westhaver (Stephen Francis), of Gold River; grandchildren, Brittany, Curtis and Ryen; great grandchildren, Peyton, Carter and Christopher; brother, Roger (Simin Mahmoodi), of Toronto, Ontario.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Center, 1341 Summer St, Halifax, NS B3H 4K4. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
