After a life well lived, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Cherished son of the late Charlie and the late Nellie Rothman (née Rosen). Loving husband of Joan Presant. Devoted father of Ann (Simon Lebeau), Claire (Arthur Holden), and Margot. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Samuel, Noah, Natasha, Julia, and Miriam. He will be dearly missed by his brother, Bernie Rothman (the late Barbara) and his sister, Renée Simmons (Ivor), as well as by his many relatives, friends, and colleagues. A partner at the law firm Philips Vineberg, he was appointed to the Superior Court of Quebec in 1971, and to the Court of Appeal of Quebec in 1983. He was dearly loved and will always be with us. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, October 30 at 12:00 noon. Shiva at his home, Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
