RUPERT BRAKE 19432019

It is with broken hearts that the
family of the late RUPERT BRAKE of Marystown announces his
passing. Rupert passed away at the Blue Crest Home in Grand
Bank on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 at the
age of 76. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful
memories are his wife Cathy of 46 years; sons, Corey brake (Lynette
Searle) of Marystown, and Chris Brake (Cindy) of Torbay; daughter,
Kyla Brake-Parr (Grant) of St. John’s; 3 grandchildren,
Emma, Gracie, and Chloe; brothers, Eric Brake (Mary Jo) of Marystown,
and Bill Brake (Ruby) of Toronto; sisters Claudia Lambe (Clem) of
Marystown, Margaret Hanrahan (John) of Little Bay, Kay Critch (Doug)
of Torbay, and Angela Russell of Gander; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Brake
of Labrador City, Jean Philpott (friend Eugene), Marina
Gambin of Placentia, and Noreen Careen (Albert) of Labrador City;
brothers-in-law, Aidan Power (Sandra) of Branch, and Terry Power (Bev)
of Labrador City; plus a large circle of extended family and
friends. Rupert was predeceased by his parents,
Phillip and Ernestine Brake; brother, Phillip Brake; brothers-in-law,
Reg Power, and Dominic Philpott.
The Brake Family will be accepting
visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on
Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to
9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Saturday, October
19th at 10am.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
In Rupert’s memory
donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian
Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or flowers gratefully
accepted.
