Obituary of Ronald Charles Smith
SMITH, Ronald Charles:
Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18th, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 91.
Born in Ipswich Suffolk, England, Ron was the son of the late Charles and Alice Maude (nee Rook) Smith.
Beloved husband to the late Joyce Dorothy Smith (nee Lamb, 2012).
Loving father to Gina Elizabeth Smith.
Remembered by brother Percy Smith (Margaret).
Loving uncle to Cameron and Graham Smith.
Ron will also be missed by his furry friend, Buddy.
Ron spent his career as an automotive service manager for several auto dealerships throughout Chatham and Tilbury. He was an avid golfer and could often be found at Countryview Golf Course. Ron and his late wife spent their winters in Florida golfing and enjoying the warm weather.
Family and friends to gather at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, October 23rd at 12:30pm. Burial to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at 1:00pm. Rev. Susan Jolley to officiate.
Donations made in memory of Ron may be made to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
