Renie’s Obituary
LINACY – Renie Joseph Grant, 91, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Linacy, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 19, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in Quebec City, Que., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Grant. Prior to retirement, Renie was employed as a paving foreman with Weeks construction for many years. Previously having been employed with Nova Construction and Warren Maritimes, a career he thoroughly enjoyed. Renie enjoyed working in his garage and taking pride in his lawn. He was a quiet man who possessed an enduring love for his family.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Viola “Vi” Grant; daughters, Jean Grant, New Glasgow; Valerie Grant, New Glasgow; granddaughters, Natasha and Alisha Hafey; former sons-in-law, Ernie Hafey and Leonard Gerrior.
He was predeceased by sister, Theresa; brothers, Andrew and Jimmy.
In honour of Renie’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
