Mr. Peter F. Christiaens, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 94 years. He was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Joseph and Natalie (DeMoor) Christiaens. Beloved husband of the late Anna (Van Craenenbroek) Christiaens. Loving father of Virginia (Paul) Whitmarsh, Roger (Dorothy) Christiaens and Marcel (Denise) Christiaens. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Alan, Scott, Lisa, Michael, Devon, great grandchildren Brandy, Ashley, Aiden, Kathleen, Layne, Cooper, and great great grandchildren Berlin and Sophia. Predeceased by two brothers Frank and George. Survived by two brothers-in-law William Van Mechelen and Roger Van Craenenbroek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a Veteran of WW II and a long time member of the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg. The late Peter Christiaens is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, 519-627-2861. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 11 – 11:30 am than processing to Riverview Cemetery for the interment. A Celebration will then continue at 1 pm at the Moose Lodge (110 Duke St.) in Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
