PETER DYCK
May 22, 1943 – October 10, 2019
Peacefully on the evening of October 10, 2019, with Marlene at his bedside, Peter went to be with his Lord and Saviour.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Marlene; son Kevin (Karen) and grandchildren, Amy, Ashley, and Arlen Dyck; and son Korey (Wendy) and grandchildren, Gabriel and Dianna Dyck, all of Winnipeg. He leaves behind his sister Anganeta (Nettie and Jacob) Pries of Winnipeg and their family, brother Wilhelm (Roswitha) Dyck of Munich, Germany, and sister Margaret Dyck of Oslo, Norway. In addition, mourning his loss are Evelyn and Wilhelm Trost of Melville, Saskatchewan, Wes and Gwen Ens of Rosthern, Saskatchewan, and Larry and Ruth Ens of Winnipeg, along with their families.
Peter is predeceased by his parents Margarete and Isaak Dyck.
He was a skilled cabinet maker for Woodland Supply for over 36 years, enjoyed traveling with his family and loved volunteering at his church. One of his favourite pastimes was going fishing with his friends.
We are thankful for the loving care given Peter at St. Boniface Hospital by the entire Palliative Care Team, and the many years of care given by Doctors. G. Drobot and N. Khan. We appreciate the Home Care Workers who faithfully cared for him before his final hospital stay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street, Winnipeg on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.; viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church Cemetery at Springstein. Opportunity will be given to contribute to the work of Mennonite Central Committee.
