Olga Hnatiuk nee Wintonyk 2019

1926 ~ 2019
Olga Hnatiuk [nee Wintonyk] died peacefully in
her sleep at East Gate Lodge on 22nd October 2019 in Beausejour. She
was 93.
Olga was born on 20th October 1926
in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Nick and Mary Wintonyk. She moved with her
parents to the farm in Richard, Saskatchewan when she was 6 years old. Olga
enjoyed farm life with her family, but she wanted more. She got her teaching
certificate and enjoyed life teaching young children in a small country school.
Olga met Peter and they fell in love and enjoyed their life together. Olga also
had a passion for cake decorating and would make cakes for family and friends.
She also had an amazing doll collection and made some clothes for these dolls.
Olga was a kind and generous person who reached out to everyone. She was always
there for someone if they needed something or just wanted to talk.
Olga is survived by her siblings, her brother Bill Wintonyk [wife Margret], her sister Elise, and her brother Walter [wife Alice] and her two nieces, Reana and Andrea, and her great niece Nataja (husband Iaian and son Kai).
Olga is preceded in death by her parents Nick and Mary, her husband Peter and her daughter Kathy Marie.
Olga will be buried in a ceremony on the 28th October 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel. All are welcome to come to celebrate Olga’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the East Gate Lodge.
