HOFFER
Mr. Morey Hoffer, age 69 years, lifetime resident of Thunder Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 28, 2019.
Morey was born in Port Arthur on January 13, 1950, where he attended Central School and Hillcrest High School. He worked as a machinist at Canada Car for a year, and then spent the rest of his working life in the family business, H.H. Machinery, as a machinist and eventually co-owner with his brother Henry.
He was a hunter in his earlier years, and an avid fisherman all his life. Morey had many friends in town, from work and his coffee group. He was a friendly and generous person who will be missed very much.
Morey is survived by his sister Sandra Villeneuve; brother Henry (Martina); nephews Jeff, Jason, and Alexander; niece Leah; and numerous other relatives in Saskatchewan and Southern Ontario.
Predeceased by his parents Henry and Bertha; and brother-in-law Anthony.
As per his wishes, private family graveside services will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
If friends so desire, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
