The death of Maxime Joseph Richard of Minto, NB occurred Monday,
October 21, 2019 at Hospice House Fredericton.
Born in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Frederick and Rosalie
Richard.
Maxime retired after 35 years of service with Holy Rosary Catholic
Church. He was a member of the Minto Knights of Columbus, an avid
bowler and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love of music was evident
in 2002 when Maxime was inducted into the Minto Country Music Wall of
Fame.
Survived by his loving wife, Sophie (Doucette) Richard; sons, Marcel
(Gail), Maurice (Brenda) and Roger (Anne); daughters, Claire Quigley
(Kirk) and Rose Marie (Neil); 12 grandchildren; 18 great
grandchildren; a brother, Eric (Doreen); a sister, Florida; sister in
law, Velma; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Maxime was predeceased by brothers,
Medric, Edmund, Nazaire and Fred; sister, Aurore.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with
visitation on Wednesday evening from 5-7pm. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated 2:00PM Thursday, October 24, 2019 from Holy Rosary Catholic
Church. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice House
Fredericton would be appreciated by the family.
