Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Parker
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Johnson) Parker announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born on July 2, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Foster and Elsie (Armstrong) Johnson.
Betty will be missed by her loving husband, of 58 years, Donald Parker; sister Annie Gahan (Harold) as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Aside from her parents, Betty is predeceased by her brother Alden and her sister Margaret.
Betty was a big country music fan, especially of George Strait. She enjoyed going to Bingo and attending the Beaus and Belles Square Dancing with her husband. She enjoyed spending time shopping in Bangor and travelling to Ontario to visit friends. Betty worked a long career with Brunswick News Inc. Above all else, Betty loved her family.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, N.B. (634-7425) with visitation on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from the Brenan’s Bay View Chapel at 1:00 PM. Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.BrenansFH.com
