On October 4, 2019 at Chartwell Stillwater Retirement Home, at the age of 97. Wife of the late Lt. Cmdr. John (Jack) Buchanan. Beloved mother of Ian (Jeannie) of Kanata; Andrew (Susan) of Kemptville and Cathie of Stittsville. Cherished grandmother to Sarah Buchanan (Andrew Hahn) of Bayfield; Jesse Buchanan (Jenn) of Mountain; Tyler Buchanan of Ottawa; Rebecca Buchanan (Jason Edwards) of Kanata. Beloved great-grandmother to Makayla, Andraya and Nicola Hahn, Alyssa and Ashton Buchanan, and Adrielle Edwards. Survived by her sister-in-law Sheila Buchanan (Donald Morrow) of Thornhill, long-time friend Marlene Galloway of London Ontario, and many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for the care of the staff at Chartwell Stillwater Retirement Home. Visitation will take place at Tubman’s Garden Chapel Nepean, 3440 Richmond Road, on Wednesday, October 16 at 10 a.m., followed by a Service of Remembrance at 11. Reception to follow. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and to honour Marion’s love of children, please consider a donation to your favourite children’s charity.
