Margaret Elizabeth (Urquhart) Mountain, widow of Lindon Mountain, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the age of 82.
Born at Coughlin’s, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Daisy (Underhill) Urquhart.
She is survived by her two sons Tim and Peter both of Blackville; one dearly loved grandson Jeffrey; two sisters Barbara Fraser of Ottawa, ON, and Kathleen Tweedie (David) of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers Purvis Urquhart and Tommy Urquhart.
Margaret attended St Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a life long Liberal, member of the Highland Society of Miramichi, and the Blackville Women’s Institute. A proud Canadian, volunteer, avid reader, loved to travel and cook.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 11 am, from St Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, Blackville.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
