LESLIE THEODORE HORVATH
JULY 7, 1937 – OCTOBER 18, 2019
Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at The Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Leslie T. Horvath of RR# 6 Tillsonburg passed away Friday October 18, 2019 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of 55 years to Irene. Dear loving father to Jamie (Trish) and Greg (Brenda). Proud grandfather of Sydnie, Josh, Adam and Abby.
Also survived by brother in law John (Lucy) Tamcsu, sister in law Mary Tamcsu (Late Andy).
Predeceased by his parents George and Irene Horvath (Olah), his brothers George, Joseph, Gabor and sister Elzah all of Hungary and sister in law Betty (Joe) Nemeth.
Leslie was a retired tobacco farmer and continued to enjoy helping on the farm whenever he could after his retirement. Leslie was a Knight of Columbus member Council 3212.
In keeping with Leslie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service and inurnment will take place at St. Ladislaus Cemetery in Courtland at a later date. Memorial donations in Leslie’s memory may be made to The Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital or The Parkinson’s Foundation by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with Leslie’s arrangements. Je suis venu en septembre 1970 cueillir le tabac sur la ferme de Mr Horwath et je garde un excellent souvenir de cette période.
