Kyung Ja 홍경자 권사 Choi Hong Wednesday October 30th 2019

Kyung Ja Choi (Hong) passed away peacefully on October 30, 2019 at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Beloved wife of the late Han Chil Choi, mother to Jason (Carmen), Cindy (David) and Daniel, grandmother to Naomi, CJ, Abigail, Lillian and Nathan, family and friend to many people of all ages, she will be remembered for her faith, love, and determination to live a full and joyful life in spite of many challenges.
She will be remembered by many for her art. Be it face painting and folding origami for children, teaching art classes, creating art for church activities, or exhibiting her professional works, art was how she often expressed her love for life and others.
Throughout her journey with cancer and into her final days, she shared a message of love, gratitude and peace with those around her. Rooted in her deep faith in God, she was not fearful about what was to come.
Service of remembrance will be held at Light Korean Presbyterian Church (6965 Professional Court, Mississauga ON) on Friday, November 1st at 7pm. Burial will occur at Meadowvale Funeral Centre (7732 Mavis Road, Brampton), section 16 lot 2292 on Saturday, November 2nd at 11am.
A special thanks to the many people who cared for and supported Mom through these many years. You are too numerous to list but every prayer, gift of food, encouraging word, act of kindness was felt and appreciated.
