Peacefully entered into rest on Monday, October 28th, 2019 at the Heart of Hastings Hospice, Madoc. John Stephenson died at the age of 64. He was the son of Rita (nee McIntyre) and the late Paul Stephenson of Belleville. John was the loving husband for 43 years to Pierrette (nee Lacombe) and the cherished father of Melissa Livingstone (John) of Madoc. He was the loving grandfather of Justin and Zoë. John was the dearest brother of Gail Stephenson of Belleville, Michael (Pat) of Toronto, Susan (Wayne) of Wellington, Paul (Shirley) of Belleville and Denise (Martin) of Brantford. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, Katie, Mike, Tracy, Melissa, Jade, Noah, Master Cpl. Paul Stephenson, Lily, Katherine, Ashley, Paul, Nathan, Nicholas, Olivia, Benjamin, and Caleb. John will be sadly missed by Pierrette’s family and his many friends.
John is resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) for visitation on Thursday, October 31st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Hal Wilson & Rev. Father Brad Beale officiating. Interment to follow at St. James’ Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart of Hastings Hospice, or the Belleville Fire Fighters Toy Drive would be appreciated by the family.
