Obituary of Jim Lake
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener, at the age of 82.
Jim Lake was the husband for 54 years of the late Margaret (Shackelton) Lake (2014). Loved father of Kathryn (Nelson) Proulx, William James (Olivia) Lake, Paul (Lyra) Lake, and Lisa (John Waite) Lake Hughson. Loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Margaret Balke and Susan (Barry) Reynolds. Lovingly remembered by his special partner Sheila Daigle Martin, her son Lance (Andrea) Martin and his two children. Predeceased by his parents William and Elma (Freeborn) Lake.
Jim was a high school teacher with the Sault Ste. Marie Board of Education for his entire career.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11 a.m., with visiting one hour prior, at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A reception will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date.
