Frederick (Freddie) Arthur Holland of Nowlanville, Miramichi passed away on October 29, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 70.
Born in St. Margaret’s, NB on June 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Matthew and Annie (Dwyer) Holland. Freddie had 35 years of service with the Department of Transportation before his retirement in 2009. He was an active member of both St. Margaret’s and St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Churches.
Freddie is survived by his two brothers; Vincent (Patsy) Holland of Nowlanville, NB and Keith (Idah) Holland of Chatham, NB, three sisters; Donna Holland of Toronto, Ont., Patricia (late William) Perry of North Sydney, NS, and Brenda (late Gerald) Watling of Black River Bridge, NB, and nieces and nephew; Lorie, Mary Rita, Matthew and Amy, as well as additional family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Freddie was predeceased by his biological parents; Arthur and Margaret (Dwyer) Holland and one brother; Blaine Holland.
Freddie Holland is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, 35 University Avenue, Miramichi with visitation on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 1pm to 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12 pm from St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. John Fraser officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St. Margaret’s Building Fund or the memorial of ones choice would be greatly appreciated.
