Although 96, Evelyn unexpectedly passed away peacefully on October 15, 2019. “Scully”, as many called her, was pre-deceased by her husband George, was mother to Stephanie, Lizabeth and George (Becky) and ‘other mother’ to Sherry and Mary Louise. Grandmother to Tonya and great-grandmother to Zachary, Steven, and Claire. Evelyn was also aunt, grand aunt and great-grand aunt to countless nieces and nephews. As the original resident at the Valley Steam Manor, she was known for always having a saying for any situation, speeding around the building, and caring about how others are feeling. Whether growing up and starting her family in Montreal or moving to Ottawa, Evelyn was a progressive thinker who saw the possibilities in ideas, objects and people. Reunited with her sisters Betty (Allen) and Margaret (Harold) and their brother Norman, Evelyn completes what Heaven was missing. In lieu of flowers, make someone laugh today.
