Having completed an amazing life and surrounded by the love of her family we sadly announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Bettie) Stanley (nee Ashley) aged 94 years. Celebrating wonderful memories of their mother are her children: Tim (Liana), Liz (John Fuller), and Mara (Paul Noftall); beloved grandchildren: Sam, Victoria (Adrian Yearwood), and Sydney (Ian Johnson), Katy (Michael Bartellas), Robyn, and Andrew Noftall; sisters in law Betty Noah, and Shirley Stanley. As well a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends especially Helen Noftall. Bettie also leaves her family at St Luke’s where she was cared for with absolute kindness and respect for the past eight years. Bettie was predeceased by her husband Bill, precious daughter Lynn as well as many other family members: brother Joe Ashley (Belle); sisters Mary David (Woody) and Pats McDonald; sisters in law: Kathleen Rowe (Mack), Marg Browne, Marion Muncey (Claude), Mary Cleary (Bill); brothers in law: Frank (Betty), Ron Noah and Leo. Also predeceased by so many close friends especially Leo and Cynthia Murphy, Frank and Elaine Shortall, Helen and Gordon Crocker, Jim and Marie Fuller, and Gene Noftall. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from Corpus Christi Church at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at Kilbride R.C. Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Bettie’s name to St. Luke’s Adult Day Program.
