Obituary of Eleonora “Eleanor” Magdalena Rein
REIN, Eleanor Magdalena
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Eleanor Rein, at the age of 84 years. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Roy and Eleonora Fries; and in-laws Lydia and Frank Ollinger and Christian and Clara Klupper. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 65 years Harold; daughter Linda (Bill); sons Ron, Randy (Leanne), Brent (Kendra); grandchildren Jeff (Crystal), Darren (Michelle), Troy (Dayna), and Kelsey (Tanner); four beautiful great-granddaughters Kenley, Sloan, Kaybree, and Scarlett; sisters Berna (Joe) Nieswandt, Mary Vlake, and brother Leo (Dianna) Fries; sister-in-law Bev Ollinger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, cooking, socializing, and above all else spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed many happy hours with her great-granddaughters playing, baking, and teaching them about her favourite hobbies. Eleanor had time for everyone. We will miss her warm hospitality and sense of humour. A special thank you to Regina EMS and the staff at the Regina General Hospital Emergency Dept. for their quick response and compassionate care. A Funeral Mass will take place at Little Flower Parish, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to a charity of your choice.
