On August 11. 2019, Eleanor’s courageous battle with dementia came to an end. She died peacefully in her residence at Providence Manor, Kingston, Ontario. Boundless gratitude and appreciation are extended to the staff of Providence Manor for their utmost compassion and professionalism over the past five years while providing Eleanor’s excellent care.
Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband Hogey Hoglund, her brothers Harold Flett and John Flett, and her sister Ruth Flett.
She is survived by her sister Edna Manderville, her sister–in–law Eva Flett and her two daughters Becky Hoglund and Amanda Staines. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great–grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear devoted friends.
As per Eleanor’s wishes, cremation has taken place. An informal, interment gathering for family and friends will take place at the Saunders Cemetery at 11 am, on Saturday, October 19, 2019. A reception will follow at the Miramichi Golf Club. Eleanor is coming home to her beloved Miramichi.
