It is with much peace and assurance that the family of Clarence R. B. Black share the news of his passing into the presence of His Saviour. Entering the gates of heaven on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, he passed peacefully at Riverside Glen, Guelph, Ontario, with family by his side.
Clarence lived his life in dedication to serving the Lord and others. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Joyce “Joy” Black, by his beloved children: Nancy (Stu) Thompson of Michigan, Mary Ann (Mike) LaChance of Grey Highlands and Karen (Gord) Brock of Kitchener. He leaves behind his precious grandchildren: Leanne, Mitchell, Jared, Monika, Ruthann, Glenn and Benjamin, as well as his nine great-granddaughters. Clarence was predeceased by his Mother and Father: Ada and Emerson Black, by his brothers John and Doug Black and by his granddaughter Carolyn Dawn Thompson.
The presence of family and friends are requested to attend visitation at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 12 – 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Callander, Ontario, on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at Nipissing Junction Gospel Hall, North Bay, Ontario.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to Gospel Trust Canada (www.gospeltrust.ca) would be appreciated by the family. Donation cards are available at the funeral home (519-821-5077) and condolences may be sent to www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
