Peacefully, with family at her side, Bea (nee DeWitt) Atkinson was Promoted to Glory on Monday, June 17, 2019, in her 94th year. Bea, of Simcoe, Ontario was the beloved wife of the late Ron Atkinson (2010) for nearly 65 years. Dear mother of Daisy Lee and her husband Marvin Levy of Maryland and Peggy Atkinson and her husband Richard Mawle of Simcoe. Loving grandmother of Tammy (Joe), Trevor (Jolene), Tracy, Melissa and Tristin and several great and great great grandchildren. Sister of Norma Christie of McAdam, NB. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings: Ike, Margaret, Bob, Steve and Vera; and, her beloved canine companion, Sparky. The funeral service for Bea will be held at The Salvation Army Simcoe Community Church, 184 Colborne Street North, Simcoe, on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11 am, with visitation beginning at 10 am. Cremation will follow and Bea will be interred with her beloved Ron in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, New Brunswick at a later date. If desired, donations to The Salvation Army Simcoe Community Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to COOPER FUNERAL HOME, Jarvis (519-587-4414). Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.cooperfuneralhome.ca
