Barbara’s Obituary
Barbara Ann Gurtler (nee Russnak), long time resident of Manning (AB), passed away in Manning on October 3, 2019 at the age of 59 years.
Barb was born on September 24, 1960 to William and Mathilda (Becher) Russnak.
In June of 2017, Barb retired from the Rosary School in Manning, after teaching her entire 34 year career there.
She was an active member of the Alberta Barrel Racing Association, where she participated in barrel racing with her 3 daughters. Barb attended as many rodeos with Glen that were possible. She then continued to attend with her girls & grandchildren, where she was designated the #1 Fan & Videographer.
Barb enjoyed helping Glen with the cattle & farming, particularly when you could find her running the swather. She also enjoyed her time with her grandchildren as they were the apple of her eye & her pride & joy.
Barb is predeceased by her father, William Russnak. She leaves behind to mourn her husband, Glen; daughters, Rosalyn (Steven) Harpe, Janelle (Reggie) Kirkpatrick, & Christa (Dallas) Fuchs; mother, Mathilda Brochu (Russnak); grandchildren, Hayden Harpe, Ty Fuchs, Kashton Harpe, Braidy Fuchs, MaKenna Kirkpatrick & Ryler Kirkpatrick.
