1926-2019
Chaves, Antonio … passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial
Hospital surrounded by his family on Thursday October 17, 2019 at the
age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Isidora. Loving father of the
late Victor Chaves, Nelson (Barbara) Chaves and Anabela Davis (Sean).
Cherished grandfather of Victoria, Scott, Marcia and Taylor. Great
Grandfather to Noah Anthony and Ava Isidora.
Brother to late Jose (late Maria), late Maria (late Jose), late Rosa
(late Antonio), late Saul (late Ismeria), late Celestina (late Jose),
David, Urbino (Lina), late Armindo (Coralia). He will also be missed
by many nieces and nephews.
Antonio prided himself on being a Master Woodworker (Marceneiro
… not “Carpenter”) and proudly showcased his work
and passion
throughout the community.
The family would like to extend a thank you to all family and friends
that took the time to visit with Tony and ensure that he received a
good home cooked meal.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N. Cambridge on Sunday
October 20, 2019 from 6:30-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church on Monday
October 21, 2019 at 2p.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations made to a charity of choice
would be appreciated by the family.
