Wayne Kaiser

Wayne Fredrick Kaiser
Sydney Mines
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Wayne on Sunday, September 15, 2019, after a very brief illness.
Born in Halifax on August 3, 1954, he was the son of the late John Kaiser and Muriel Perry Herritt and step-son of Olmon Herritt.
Wayne was employed with Algoma Central Marine and a member of the Seafarers International Union for over 20 years. He was looking forward to retiring at the end of the year. Most of his working life was spent on the water. He started on a fishing dragger with his step-father, served with the Royal Canadian Navy, and fished with his brother-in-law for many years.
Wayne will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Margie (Bennett); his pride and joy, son, Adam; brother, James (Sandra); sister-in-law Kathy (Michael); mother-in-law, Leona (Gerard), several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends who were very important to him.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents and brothers, Robert and Victor.
Wayne’s family will receive visitors in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, on Friday, September 20, 2019, from 1-2 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. Reception to follow at the Branch 8 Legion, Main Street, Sydney Mines. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
