S. Ward Reid
1936-2019
The death of Stanley “Ward” Reid of Knoxford occurred on
Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the River View Manor, Bath. Born July 31,
1936 in Knoxford he was the son of the late Stanley and Hazel (Smith)
Reid. He was also predeceased by 1 infant sister, Frances and 1 sister
in law, Margaret Reid.
Ward is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, April; 3 children,
Andrew Reid (Alison), Michelle DeMerchant (Joel) and Nathan Reid
(Melanie); 8 grandchildren. Ben, Raya, Darion, Ryan, Eric, Violet, Max
and Eva; 3 siblings, Beverly Reid, Jeanne Culberson (Harold) and Joan
Leger (Paul) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from
6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11,
2019 at 10:00 am from the Knoxford Praying Band Church. Rev. Andy
DeRier will officiate. The interment will be in the Upper Knoxford
Cemetery. Donations to Harvest House would be appreciated.
