SMIRLE, Norma Mabel
Surrounded by those she loved, at her home on Lake Nipissing, Norma Smirle died peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of Arthur Ranney of Callander; mother of Tracey Perrin of Huntsville and Scott Perrin of Sudbury; and step-mother of Kathie Mendez of Washago and John Ranney of Maple. Norma was predeceased by her first husband Stanley Perrin and stepsons Rick and Stephen Ranney. She will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Norma was the dear sister of Pauline Gilchrist, Phyllis Muldavin, Mel Smirle, Roger Smirle, Vi Mansell, Stephen Smirle, and the late Margie Corbeil and Lornie Smirle. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at Callander Union Cemetery, at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses, whose care and compassion allowed Norma to remain at home as she wished, are suggested.
