The death of Mrs. Mary Theresa (Whitney) Russell wife of David Russell of Miramichi, NB, formerly of Woodstock, NB, occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 73. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa (McLean) Whitney. Mary was a former employee of the Carlton Manor in Woodstock, NB and former member of the CWL and Legion in Woodstock, NB.
Besides her husband, David, Mary is survived by: one daughter: Juanita Dykeman (Tim) of Kingston, ON; two sons: Michael Russell (Tracy) of Chatham, NB; David Russell (Kim) of Woodstock, NB; one sister: Joyce Gilks of Dalhousie, NB; two brothers: James Whitney (Audrey) of Williamstown, NB; Charles Whitney of Miramichi, NB; three grandchildren: Tyler Dykeman (Christina), Lacey Russell and Courtney Russell; two great grandchildren: William and Adeline Dykeman and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by: two brothers: John and Burnley Whitney.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle, NB on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11 AM with Father John Keoughan officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.

Also to the Medical staff from the Ambulance NB staff to the Palliative Care Staff for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Mary and her family over the past week.
