Marlene Jezard

It is with profound sadness that the family of Marlene Joyce Jezard (Thorn) announces her passing on September 26, 2019 at 78 years of age with her family at her side. Marlene was the beloved wife of Bill Jezard (1983). Born in Seaforth, ON, Marlene was the youngest daughter of the late George and Winnifred (Veal) Thorn. Loving mother to Brad Jezard (Sandi) and Cathy Perreault (Perry Wilson). Proud grandma to Paul Perreault (Jaclyn), Craig Jezard (Brittany), Jamie Wilson and Bryan Jezard (Bryanna). Also survived by brother Wayne Thorn (Diane). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbours. Marlene was predeceased by her brother Donald Thorn (Connie) and sisters Doris Wheatley (Jack) and Shirley Gera (Ervin). Mom cherished quiet times in her flower gardens, fish pond and cheering on her Toronto Maple Leafs; spending time with her extended family as the life of the party and serene moments at the cottage in Parry Sound or in Pompano Beach, FL with dear friends Dave and Suzanne Whidden. Our family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses of the Stratford General Hospital. As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford Perth Humane Society or Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
