Liane passed peacefully, on September 24, 2019 at Selkirk Regional Health Center.
Liane will be sadly missed by her mother Helga Piske, brother Frank Piske , sister-in-law Joy Myers Piske , and nephews Kiefer and Nicholas. She was predeceased by her father Wolfgang Piske and her husband Robert Parker.
Liane was born in Berlin, Germany on May 6, 1952. At age 3, she immigrated to Winnipeg with her Mom and Dad. She loved all living things, but her passion was everything horses. Liane married Bob, the love of her life, in 1981. Together for 38 years, they built their dream home, Parkridge Stables, where they raised their beloved horses, dogs and cats.
Liane was an accomplished horsewoman, winning many dressage competitions, and contributing her knowledge and talents to the Manitoba Horse Community.
Special thanks to Liane and Bob’s many friends for their caring support. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and health care workers who provided hope and comfort along her final journey.
A come and go celebration of life will be held for Liane and Bob on Sunday October 27, 2019 between 2:00-4:00pm with a time of remembrances at 2:30pm at Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent in Oakbank, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
