Lawrence Petrie

Lawrence (Larry) Petrie age 90 years passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Saturday, September 28, 2019. He was born in Stratford son of Edward Petrie and the former Hilda Henry and has lived here all his life. Lawrence was a former employee of the Federal Government, Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife the former Jeannette (Jean) Morris July 30, 2001. Beloved father of Randy Petrie and wife Sandy, and Clark Petrie. Loving grandfather of Scott Petrie (Cassie), Kerri Jordan (Michael). Dear great-grandfather to Carter. Brother of Carol Malott (Bryan) and brother-in-law of Joyce Petrie. Besides his parents and his wife, Lawrence was predeceased by a brother Gerry Petrie. The family wish to thank Dr. Peter Brooks for his excellent care and guidance. At the request of Lawrence, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth and may be made through the W.G.
