Larry Martin

MARTIN, Larry – It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we convey the passing of Larry Martin who passed away suddenly on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at the age of 67. Son of the late Stewart and Leona Martin (née MacDonald). He is survived by his wife Carole (née Thiffault), and his brother Richard (Jaana). Fondly remembered by the Martin, Thiffault and Tingren extended families, including his many nieces and nephews, who were ingratiated with Larry by his constant ribbing and teasing. He will be dearly missed by all. Larry was born in Kingston and raised in the Escott and Gananoque area. A dedicated employee of Hydro One for over 26 years. Larry and Carole were avid and accomplished sailors and world travellers. They greatly cherished and enjoyed the company of their many friends, over their sailing years in the Gananoque/Kingston area. Larry was skillful at many activities, including carpentry, small-plane pilot, and fondness of music and playing guitar. The family will receive friends for a celebration of life, on Sunday, September 15th, at the Wartman Funeral Home – Kingston Chapel, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm with words to be said at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Collins Bay Yacht Club Sailing School, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences at www.wartmanfuneralhomes.com.

  1. Carole, Brian and I were shocked to hear of Larry’s passing. He will be greatly missed at the Gan Marina. He was a kind soul and will be remembered for his infectious smile. Just know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Brian Linda Perkins
