Suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services – Markdale on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Sharon. Dear father of Mary Ellen Butler (Larry) and Gary (Deidre). Cherished grandfather of Lindsay, Melissa, Tyler, Lauryn and Jenna. Remembered by his brothers Bill (Linda), George (Francis), Doug (Lois), Paul – deceased (Lana) and Rob and his sisters Marie, Eileen (Mike), Linda, Lori (John -2019) and Val (Garry). John will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
