Helen Petryk (Spachinsky)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom, Baba, and Great-Baba, Helen Petryk of Smoky Lake, formerly of Waskatenau, at the age of 96 years. Helen is survived by her loving children, Sonia (Larry) Doskoch, John Petryk and Jane (Clarke) Pickett; seven grandchildren and their spouses; and six great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and numerous relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, John; parents; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral Rite Thursday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Waskatenau. Reverend Michael Maranchuk officiating with interment in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 407, Waskatenau, AB T0A 3P0.
