Bart, Frederick Stephen (Fred)
Unexpectedly after a lengthy illness on April 26, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Fred Bart died in his 79th year. Beloved husband for almost 50 years to Barb. Loving father of Celine (Dave Harkins), and Brad. Dear grandpa of Wesley and Colter. Dear brother of Bill (Dada), John, and Darlene (Ernie). Fred was a retired employee of the Hamilton Spectator with over 40 years of service and loved to play Bridge in the Hamilton area with Barb. He was an avid golfer and he will be fondly remembered by many friends at Southern Pines where he was a member for over 20 years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Saturday, May 25th at 12pm followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 1pm.
